I am a little over 2 weeks away from my half, and I came down with a cold yesterday. It's mostly a head cold at this point, but my asthma has acted up a little and I'm feeling exhausted and achey. I haven't run since Tuesday. I'm hoping I'll finally have enough energy to run tomorrow.
I'm not quite sure what I should do about my long run this weekend. I am supposed to do 11, and based on how I felt after my 10 last weekend I think I can do it, but that was after getting all of my weekly runs in. Will I be messing myself up if I try to go the whole way on Sunday? I do have a 12 next weekend before I taper.

IMO if you feel exhausted/achy, I would rest. If you have a cold, and don't let your body rest, you can end up with a secondary bacterial infection (like pneumonia), and that is not what you want. Especially with your asthma, which means it may take a little longer to recover from a common cold. In the scheme of things, I think missing the one run isn't going to ruin your race. But take that with a grain of salt, I'm not a super experienced runner, I've only run one half (but I am a med student so I do know some stuff about being sick, lol).
