Since I will be on blood thinners for at least the next 9 months, I need to wear a medical id bracelet in case anything happens to me. I don't want anything too expensive but I also don't want the cheapest one out there. Any suggestions on where to look? Thanks!
Would something like a Road ID work? You can add a badge with the medical alert symbol for $5. You can also order extra bands for $5, so you could change up the color depending on what you felt like that day. Or does it need to be the normal chain type?

RoadID's are great. They aren't glamorous looking, but you can put whole bunch of info on it besides your med dx (emergency contact info, etc). My dad wore his wrist one 24-7 for years and said they were very comfortable (you can get necklaces and shoe tags as well).

I have the Slim to wear for active stuff, and it is really comfortable.
I just wasn't sure if there was medical protocol about uniform alert bracelets.
If I had to wear one every day, I would totally get multiple bands so I could change up the colors.
Medic Alert has some decent looking products. I like them because the tag can include some basic information, but emergency responders can call the number to get all of your information. You can update info with Medic Alert as anything changes, without having to change the bracelet. They also have watches, necklaces, shoe tags, etc. I think it's $50/year plus the price of the ID.
There aren't any rules on what I should get, it just needs to indicate that I am on coumadin. I'll check out the Road ID slim and the Medicalert bracelets. Thanks!!

Lauren's Hope has awesome bracelets. The actual bracelet part is interchangeable with the face plates, so you could even have a more casual look and a fancier one.

I am not sure I would think to look at someone's necklace to get their medical info. I would think bracelet would be the way to go. I have a road ID bracelet and I know they come in multiple styles and colors.

I have one from American Medical ID. They have a ton of different styles, from cheap to $$$, from sporty to fancy. And there are options other than bracelets. My tag is currently on my key chain.
