I did seven miles today and ran it faster than my 10k run last week AND i did a 4min/1min run walk interval....this helped tremendously with my pace, breathing and endurance. Even with the walking i was under goal race pace.
i be typing from me phone. typos and grammer dont count.

I PR'd my half this morning! Woot! I was hoping to go under 2:05 but finished about 20 seconds over. Weather was great and I fought hard and had a good race. My next half in 3 weeks is my A race (and a nice flat, fun course) so I am planning to get under 2:05 then.

I ran a local 5K this morning. I haven't run any 5Ks since March since I've been more focused on distance. It was a super hilly course, but I came in 29:25 - not a PR, but I'm excited to be solidly sub-30 on the 5K now My PR is a 28:55 on a fairly flat course...ready for my winter 5K series (where my current 5K PR is from) to kick some 5K butt! Gunning for a big 15K PR next weekend and really hoping for a sub-60 10K at my Turkey Trot this year!

Great job ladies, I don't have an AW, this week pretty much sucked my soul in marathon training. But I know way deep down in my heart that I will run this marathon and appreciate it more because this week was a dream crusher. Ha ha! Ying and Yang right, it's supposed to be hard?
But I want to agree with the others that 5K is my toughest distance. I did manage a 24 minute 5K this summer that I trained for--but it was untimed so I only have my own phone to go on. And let me say, I was huffing and puffing the whole way and felt like I was going to fall over at the end. I hate that with 5Ks there is no room for warm up and no room for error. Unless that's just me and I am doing them entirely wrong. LOL! I am doing another one this weekend with my MIL and I honestly don't think I'm going to try as hard as I did this summer.
