I have gained 5lbs and only ran 3 times for a total of 9 miles.
WHAT is happening to me!? I knew I was getting burnt out from the constant training plans since the beginning of this year. Before the Half, I ran consistently all year with the exception of two random weeks off. And now I'm completely off the wagon.
To top it off, a month ago I signed up for a 6.6k race this Sunday. It'll be super fun but I just looked at the race course and it'll be the second road race I've ever done (and with hills!). All of my other races have been on paved or crushed limestone trails. So even though I just ran a Half three weeks ago, I'm now afraid of my 6.6k.
What should I run this week? I feel like I need at least three runs to get back into it. 3 on Monday, 3 Tuesday and 4 on Thursday?
I need my running mojo back!!! Everyone goes through this right?

I think your plan for the week is reasonable. You will be fine to do 6.6k on Sunday, you haven't lost all your fitness that fast. Just get out there and remember why you started running in the first place and have fun.

Sometimes you just need a break. Any cross training things you like? Maybe doing something else for a bit would help you get back into the swing of running.
When I'm burnt out, I'll ease up on the runs, I x-train, I go out w/DH or meet the girls for happy hour when I normally would have gone home to run. Most importantly, I'll leave the watch at home for a few runs , or I'll meet a friend for a few slower miles, chat the whole way, & get a beer afterwards. It needs to be fun again.
