Six weeks, and only one visit to the ER later, the project is done! We did hire out the kitchen install bc there were so many intricate cuts that I was able to convince J we should let someone with experience deal with it.

Our dear friend, who helped with the demo, had to get stiches in his lip when a board he was pulling up hit him in the face. I learned to use a table saw, miter saw, and jig saw. For those interested here are some before and afters

No it's actually click together laminate. We did do an upgraded padding so it sounds less like laminate. I am in love with it!
