There's no point to this post, really. I just feel like saying this "out loud".
I got laid off earlier this month, although I'll be continuing 2 days/week for the month of October. Today is my last day as a full-time employee.
It has been enormously stressful as far as finances and health insurance are concerned (I'm the breadwinner and did carry our insurance), but now that the day is here, I AM SO RELIEVED.
I'm so, so tired in so many ways. I'm looking forward to more time with DD and time at home with the babies. I've got everything crossed that we can swing it until the babies are a few months old, at which point I hope to work for myself (I have a business that I've been slowly working to build.)
I am so, so over working for other people. puddleofgrace, once I make it big, I'm taking you away from your shitty company and putting you on my payroll. Your primary duties will be to mix the drinks and keep the chocolate order up-to-date.
fields, my situation isn't as well thought out or as, um, comfortable as yours, but I feel your excitement. Congratulations and CHEERS!
