Preferably something people won't get sick eating at room temperature. It's a potluck. So far, people are bringing:
Mini lasagna thingies (in muffin tins) Hummus platter Pasta Salad
And then a bunch of people still haven't decided what to bring, including me. Suggest an appetizer!! Bonus points if you include a recipe. TY!
P.S. I'm really good at baking/desserts but I'm not sure if people are going to want that type of thing? It's tomorrow night, 7pm, birthday get-together for a fellow nursing student.

Split an english muffin. Top with grated cheddar cheese and cooked crumbled bacon. Toast until the cheese is browned. Remove them from the toaster oven, quarter, and serve. You can serve them hot or room temp, but they always go.
ETA: Or what about just a green salad from out of a bag and a couple of bottles of salad dressing? Bring paper plate bowls and people will thank you (Maybe it's just me, but I hate when my potluck green salad touches my potluck hot stuff.)
ETA2: You're good at desserts, so why not just make some chocolate chip cookies? Use milk, white and dark to make them more interesting.
Brie and apricot or berry jam, wrap in phyllo and bake until browned and cheese is melted.
Something like this only I put the brie in the center, pull the corners up and pinch so there's a little dough at the top you can make look kind of like a rosette, or so it looks like a little pillow or bag.

I made mini Italian subs for our block party and people lost their shit over them. I've never seen people eat sandwiches so quickly. I used mini ciabatta rolls and cut them in half, held the whole thing together with a frilly toothpick.
