Any brands you would recommend for long and lean kiddos (or brands to stay away from)? 90% of DD's wardrobe is Carter's and I'd love to branch out and find some other stuff as well. Old Navy and Gap seem to fit okay, but not as skinny as Carter's is. Circo brand from Target is very boxy and wide, which is a bummer - they have some adorable things for girls.
yeah, circo doesn't get narrow until toddler sizes. We had a ton of carter's and ON stuff and if you have an h&m by you their stuff is really cute too, it's just sized big (but in both directions so it's proportional). Also if you want to spend more money, petit bateau is very narrow.

My boy is 90% in height and 35% in weight at 7 months. I agree that Gap is cut wide, but I think tops are more forgiving for babies as well as adults, so I don't mind in shirts.
In bottoms, we rotate Carter's, Circo and some ON. The Circo sweatpants that are 4/$20 are fitting him nicely right now. In PJs, I have had luck with those brands as well as Walmart's Faded Glory. The WM brand fit him surprisingly well and held up too.
Once your baby is older, I love the Children's Place for DD. She's tall and skinny (80% height, 30% weight) and the jeans fit her well and are cinchable around the waist.
I think Gymbo runs big so I always size down there. Carters leggings and snug fit pjs are good, also the Childrens Place footless pjs fit well. Circo from Target seems to run small or it just shrinks.
I'm having a hard time finding jeans that will fit DS. I can't put him in leggings like the girls-lol. I got him some 12-18 mo jeans from Gymbo and they are falling down.

We buy a lot at Carter's and some Old Navy. Girls are easier because leggings work great. My son is 3 1/2 and the jeans from The children's place fit him the best.

DD1 is a string bean. I can only buy her pants from Old Navy because they have the cinchable waste band. I always have to pull them as tight as it will go and they're still somewhat baggy in the butt. She's mayyybe 32 lbs and 39.5" tall.
