"I was thinking about getting off on demand, but it sounds like I should be glad that I didn't"
"You. You and your crazy life. You and your geographic anomaly. You and your drunken lesbianic ways and terrible navigational skills." - ProfArt and her holy baby
Good for you! I hope you start feeling better soon. There's nothing wrong with being a lifer at all. You're taking care of yourself and doing what you have to do.
I think it is the right decision. I realized last winter that I am also a lifer and admitting it to myself lifted a huge pressure off my shoulders. Good luck!
Another lifer. ((hugs)) to you. It's a big issue to sort through. Your process of taking time off, then deciding to go back soon, and maybe try a different type eventually shows a lot of powerfully backed self-determination. Good for you!
I wish you the best! As a former therapist once said to me, " You're ok with taking your iron supplement everyday, right? Well, why not this?"
I'm glad you had the experience of getting to find out what was you and what was the medicine because I'm sure that's a confusing question to have, but I'm also glad you get to feel more certain now about what works for you and have the option to go back to what works! I hope you feel better quickly
Here's another for the lifer club! Seriously though-you feeling emotionally well is just as important to Joanna and the new baby as feeling physically well. I know you know this but I'm sure it feels better to have extra validation :-D
I'm a fellow lifer. I tried going off of them a year after LO was born. I was put on them for severe PPA. But, I couldn't deal. The anxiety came back about 6 months after I was off of them and I didn't want to go down that path again so I went back on them.
I just wanted to add that I have been on Viibryd for over a year now and LOVE it. I really do notice a big change in regards to sexual side effects. I had tried 3 other ADs before this one and had to stop them because of various side effects but Viibryd has been great. I would definitely recommend looking into it after your baby is born.
