I'm sure you could knock them out pretty quickly. I was going to suggest making them out of different fabrics, but then the kids would argue over them, wouldn't they?
I was thinking that too re the diff fabrics/ then kids hunting for a fave. Might be hard
I would stick to patterns in and out if possible. Ours is still clean but I could imagine seeing marks sooner on a plain fabric.
I'll try to post a pic later today of how much c loves hers . She randomly pulls it out to color even though she has a million art supplies (NEVER too many art supplies!) I see myself keeping it in the stroller on walks too.
Friend threw in twist able crayons w hers, which is neat and has been neat watching her learn to get the crayon back in when she plays w the screw thing. Go for cheap crayons as favor though. But if you do for presents later, the two stables were a neat thing I wouldn't have bought her myself. The pockets fit 2 ea comfortably though she still jams a bunch in ea pocket when she puts them away.
My MIL made these for my kids, but she made the slots wider to hold their Matchboxes. They love it and I throw it in my bag for restaurants, church, etc.
I think I would only do one or two cars because everyone I know has a bunch of Hot Wheels already. And I found a 20 pack on Amazon for $16, which would be cheaper than buying individually. I'll have to count and see how many kids will be there. I'm only inviting a few...I'm trying not to go super crazy like usual.
