In your opinion, which antidepressants have the least side-effects? I've been on 20mg of fluoxetine for 9 months but can't take any more headaches, nausea, short-term memory loss, blurred vision, weight gain, etc. It's done wonders for my mood and PMDD but holy hell, I'm not liking everything that comes with it.

Lexapro had the least side effects for me. But as PP said, it is so very different for each person. Unfortunately, trying them yourself is the only way to now for sure.
We prescribe a ton of cipralex 10mg at work. Unless someone is having severe issues, it's almost always the one we start with as it haas less side effects that most SSRIs. We joke that we need to just pour it in the towns water source.
Agree that it depends on the person. I was on fluoxetine for years, then started having lots of nausea. I tried a few different ones before starting Pristiq. It's been the best fit for me.
As hard as it is to deal with switching around, waiting for things to kick in, etc. it is so worth it to find something that works for you. Good luck!
I really like my 60mg of cymbalta. When I had it increased a few weeks ago, it was life changing. I have so much more energy and motivation. I've been cooking again. Have less anxiety, and actually want to leave the house. The only side effect I've experienced is dry mouth. If I take it at night, I don't notice it.
I think it is different for everyone. I had limited side effects on celexa and cymbalta. I gained weight on Zoloft, remeron and cipralex/lexapro. I am doing ok on Prozac. I wanted to kill myself on Wellbutrin (horrible intense reaction). You need to find what works for you.
It's different for every person. I've seen a lot of people on these boards say they have side effects with Zoloft but I haven't experienced any personally (I take a low dose though ~ 50 mg).
