Well, the good news is that I don't have lupus or rheumatoid arthritis. No inflammation showed up anywhere. They still don't know why I am losing weight. I still don't really have any answers. I'm waiting for them to call me back in so they can take more blood and test my thyroid.
I still need to follow up with my records being transferred to my new GI doctor. They can't make an appointment without my previous records.
I am sorry that you still don't have answers, but at least they have ruled out some things. You are getting closer. It sucks, but figuring things out sometimes takes a lot of trial and error, but you will get there. ::hugs::

Thyroid is a good guess. What are your other symptoms?
Aside from the weight loss, I've also had some hair loss. I'm tired all the time. I generally just feel weak. My body hurts a lot. I bruise really easy. I've always gotten sick really easily. I have a lot of GI issues. I've had my abnormal bleeding. There is a lot of stuff. But these are the main ones.

Hyperthyroidism can mimic other health problems, which may make it difficult for your doctor to diagnose. It can also cause a wide variety of signs and symptoms, including:
Sudden weight loss, even when your appetite and the amount and type of food you eat remain the same or even increaseRapid heartbeat (tachycardia) — commonly more than 100 beats a minute — irregular heartbeat (arrhythmia) or pounding of your heart (palpitations)Increased appetiteNervousness, anxiety and irritabilityTremor — usually a fine trembling in your hands and fingersSweatingChanges in menstrual patternsIncreased sensitivity to heatChanges in bowel patterns, especially more frequent bowel movementsAn enlarged thyroid gland (goiter), which may appear as a swelling at the base of your neckFatigue, muscle weaknessDifficulty sleepingSkin thinningFine, brittle hair
I had hyperthyroid. I was soooooo tired. Like could not function tired and was losing weight. I also ate like a linebacker and had to get up in the middle of the night to eat. I had heart palpitations and was hot and sweaty most of the time. I also thought was losing my mind with anxiety symptoms.
How about Valley Fever? There's one to scare you (sorry). I have some of the same symptoms and that's one that's up there with hyperthyroidism as a potential. I haven't been to a doctor though, I just try really hard to be healthy and stay above 107.

Growing up, I always had a hard time gaining weight. I ate and still eat all the time. I don't know if it matters, but I never went over 100 pounds until I hit age 22. And at that time I went straight from 90 to 105 and then up to 112. @porcupine Near the beginning of this year I was around 120. Within a couple months I went from 120 to 112. Then in less than a month I went from 112 to 104. I am now down to 101-103. So total? Almost 20 pounds in less than 6 months. Around 8 of that in less than a month.
Didn't you say awhile back that they needed to remove something from your colon? If you never had that addressed it may very likely be GI related.
I'm losing weight without really trying. My GI is happy about it but I have very mixed feelings about it. I know it's bc some days I eat well and other days it is hard. Difference is I do need to lose a little
Stress can impact your weight too. Not everyone stress eats
That's what I thought at first with the weight loss, but when it got to the hair loss and everything else.. I had a lot of symptoms of lupus, but my ANA was negative.
Now, I'm kind of wondering what kind of damage there is to my intestines/colon. Sometimes hair loss can be because of someone not getting the nutrition absorption or something right? If there is damage and I'm not getting what I'm supposed to, that could contribute to weight loss and hair loss. But that makes me really nervous. I would assume the damage would have to be pretty bad right? My old GI doctor was supposed to fax my records to the new GI almost a month ago. I stopped in at the new GI doctor today and had them send over a request for them. So hopefully I can get an appointment soon. I'm still scared to get the surgery done. I know it needs to be done though.
I hope things get better for you. Does your doctor know that your weight loss is unintentional?
ETA: I have anxiety and I stress a lot, but it has never impacted my weight before.
