Taylor Swift is going to be in the movie adaptation of one of my all-time favorite books, The Giver.
I don't have quite the hate for T Swizzy like some of you, but I don't like the idea of her testing her acting chops on what should be a great movie! Stick to singing, Taylor!
The Giver is also one of my all time favorite books. I can't imagine the movie will live up to my expectations of such a beloved story, and TS is NOT going to help.
I don't know what The Giver is, but I'm annoyed with TSwift on the regular.
That said, the only Lois Lowry movie adaptation I know of was the TV movie I'm Waiting For You or something, based on (loosely based on!) Gallows Hill, starring Soleil Moon Frye. Which was awesome in its cheesiness.
Omg, I just looked this up and it stars Sarah Chalke too! I must see this movie! lololol

The Giver is my absolute favourite book. The casting on the movie I think is actually mostly okay. I'm not a huge fan of TSwift's acting, but hopefully her part as Rosemary will be pretty limited.
I am actually more OK with Katie Holmes (and love some of the other casting). I don't think Katie has been working up to her full potential the last fee years, being tied up with Mr CrazyCakes and all.
