My daughter will be 3 months old on Saturday, and for the past week or so she has been fussier, drooling like crazy, and trying to shove her fist/blanket/everything in her mouth. Do any moms here have experience with teething this early? Or is this maybe more of a wonder week/developmental thing? Help meee! I miss my happy baby
My daughter likes this, it's easier for her to hold than other teething toys.
And the amber hazel wood necklace seems to have cut down on the drooling as other moms promised.
I just tried a Hyland teething tablet on her gums, seems to have helped. I'm not convinced I want to use them long term but I won't be able to get infant Advil until the weekend.

My 3-month-old has been doing all of those things for the past week, too! I can't see or feel any teeth. I have no idea what's going on. I'm thinking wonder week/growth spurt combo. I miss my happy baby, too!
My son's first tooth broke through at 4 months exactly. That said, I do think most babies start to get extra drooly and fussy right around 12 weeks (the end of the "fourth trimester") so it could be teething or it could just be baby protesting the world (my younger one has just entered this phase!).
Thanks everyone! You'd think I'd know something about teething, seeing how before she was born I worked in the dental field for almost 10 years. She's finally sleeping now after being a little monster all afternoon, fingers crossed for a better evening.

My dd is 4.5 months.
I may need to try the necklace thing. I always thought those were more for the granola types but if it helps her I'd chew the damn thing myself!
12weeks is fun. They figure out their hands a bit more (so they can stuff them in their mouths) and their salivary glands start to work better (so extra drool). Even my kid who didn't get teeth until right before her birthday had the whole drool-chomp thing going on. Give them stuff to hold or chew, but there may not be any teeth for a long time.

I hope her little chompers can wait a while, I'm scared of her having teeth and nursing. She already bites pretty hard with her gums. I think my mom told me I didn't get teeth until 10 or 11 months, so maybe there's hope.

I got my first tooth close to a year. My kid is getting hers at 6 months.
Ahhh you are all scaring me! But no doubt she will be adorable with a few itty bitty teeth in her smile. I gave her a cold textured teething ring tonight and she went crazy on it. Yay for new toys!
