I would think how she conducts herself in her work, her demeanor, her work performance, interactions with her clients, etc., would dictate how she is perceived NOT an itty bitty amount of nail.polish.
On her.fingertips...she's not covered in head to toe glitter with pigtails or something. Then MAYBE I could see the disdain.
And no, my fingernails are bare right now but I can and have worn glitter nail polish to work. In meetings with CEOs and executives and they couldn't care less (if they even noticed in the first place which clearly they don't because they have more bigger fish to fry than that).
LOL guys I am sooo self conscious today. I just had a meeting with my boss and wanted to sit on my hands. However, I am a huge rule follower and feel like a bit of a rebel today! I do want I want!!
(Until 5pm when I race home to take this shit off so that I can come back to work tomorrow and be back to my usual conservative, rule following self).

Your appearance is part of professionalism.
Really? Wow...I had no idea. LOL.
In all seriousness, I get what everyone is saying but for me, in my work environment, no one cares about silly little things like nail polish. The only comment I ever got from my boss was who was my manicurist because she was looking to try a new place. But that's just MY experience and clearly that doesn't appear to be the case for everyone, including SW.

OMFG! LOL
She asked if people thought it was unprofessional. People are being honest. This makes you sad? Buck up, buttercup!
LOL indeed.
Okay, maybe "sad" was a little much, but weird, I guess, but again, that's just based on MY experience and it's only my opinion. :shrugs:
See what you started SW, making me argue about NAIL POLISH of all things dammit?
People aren't really going tell you, "Hey, lay off the glitter polish." They'll just look at it, think it's unprofessional, and write you off mentally.
As for executives not caring, sure, maybe they don't care.
But they also don't wear glitter polish themselves, and that is the more important tell.
