It's my bulldog. She is 5.5 years old and started peeing in the house. This is not like her at all. I don't know if she is just getting old and lazy and doesn't like to squeeze through her doggy door. She has gotten a little wider since we put it in 4 years ago. Or maybe medical, or behavioral.
Right now she got up came downstairs laid down on the couch. I went to make breakfast and came back and she peed on the rug.
I have a bulldog that pees on the floor but I figured out the other night from a thread on here that she is a marker. She has always done it.
That being said, she is also overweight and being treated for her thyroid. She pees more when she isn't on her meds so maybe yours developed a thyroid issue. Good luck!

My basset hound also did this when she had bladder stones. She required surgery and a complete diet change. It started out with peeing in the house then turned problematic when a stone actually blocked her completely. I wish we caught it sooner, the vet said they were the biggest stones he ever saw (he gave some to us afterwards- gag!). Her surgery and aftercare cost us $1700, so I would check with the vet to rule them out!
