My husband gets fidgety when he's nervous and picks the skin around his fingers, which drives me insane for some reason. I want to get him something small that he can play with while I'm in labor so he doesn't drive me batty mutilating his fingers.
I bought him these little magnetic balls (Bucky Balls) before and he likes to use those at the office, but I need something paperclip size, maybe. Any suggestions?

Does he even realize he is doing it?
It is a anxious/nervous habit I have and I do not even realize I am doing it half the time. I have no suggestions, but if he isn't aware he is doing it, it may be tough to find a replacement habit.

He does somewhat. If he has something else in his hands, he will play with that instead of pick at his fingers.
