I would like to get some new tots for babystars as I am getting bored with what we have (lol). She's got a Sophie and a few jingle toys that I can squeak or hold in front of her to grasp. We have two play mats and a bouncy seat that lights up and sings.
What did you kids like from 3 to 6 months? We don't have a jumper or exersaucer (I know not everyone believes in them but I am open to it). Should we get one of those? Activity table that we can take the top off of? Kick and play piano?
I don't want anything that she will only use for a month and then be sick of.
Or link me to a post where this has been discussed! Thanks!
B doesn't really like toys yet except the toys on his play gym but everyone on my BMB swears by the O ball so I bought it. It's the first toy he can actually grab. Most of the time he doesn't even do it on purpose but oh well.
The Sassy Ring O Links was DD1's BFF forever. She loved that thing. Sassy rattles were popular too, she had a phone one she loved. I don't spend too much money on toys at this age though... this morning DD2 was contentedly playing with my sleep bra for a while. Parenting win.
We got a Baby Einstein Jumparoo at about 6 months (I wish we got the FP one). He still loves it at almost 9 and I love having a safe place to put him for a couple of minutes.
Sophie is still a big hit. Also a ball from Infantino that you pop shapes into.
Of all the toys though, cell phones and remotes are still his favorites. He has a special radar for them...
countthestars I'm sort of lol'ing because I almost typed this exact post two hours ago.
We just pulled out the plastic keys, links and O ball rattle last week for DS (11 wks). He'll grasp them for a minute or two but then drop them. He doesn't seem interested in swatting at the hanging toys on his activity may yet. I just want to make sure he's engaged enough during the time he's awake and not just laying around.
She liked things that made noise. The FP music table was great about 5 months to start teaching sitting (just put the legs on yesterday!) A mirror was great too. I had a ball spinner that she liked to watch when doing tummy time.

It doesn't take much to entertain her. We have a basket of small toys, rings, o ball, teething toys, sophie, a lamaze mermaid and octopus, ect., board books.
She loves being able to sit up on a blanket and play.
Before she could sit up she loved lying on her playmat and grabbing toys, especially ones that made noise and being in her bouncer. We had a bouncer that she could kick the couch with her legs and it would bounce she loved it.
I honestly don't think they need a ton of toys at this age. She would be perfectly happy ripping up magazines if i let her!
