August 25? I want to do the color me rad 5k but I can't even run more than a minute at this point. Is it doable to be in shape enough to do it by then? If I can find people to do the race with, that is.
No I haven't done c25k. I tried to start it last fall but when the weather got cold I chickened out. Is it possible to do on a treadmill or elliptical? I can do it at the gym.
I just jogged/ran 12miles an I never trained for it. (wouldn't recommend this but still did it.) I had DH beside me cheering me on the whole way. I say train for it an go an see what happens! Good luck!
If you are in decent shape now, you could always walk the 5K. I don't run (disclaimer: I bike 10-12 hours/week), and I've walked several 5Ks with no "training."
I am crazy because I might do one in under a month and haven't started training, although I do work out and participate in non running exercise regularly. I am already assuming I will be walking most of it.
