"I was thinking about getting off on demand, but it sounds like I should be glad that I didn't"
When I was a teen in the 80's, 20 years prior (the 60's, Beatles, etc) was ancient history. Nirvana's Nevermind came out 22 years ago. It still sounds good to me, but I wonder what teenagers now think of it. Does anybody have a teenager handy who can answer this question?
I Saw a kid outside of the local high school a couple weeks ago, Wearing a Nirvana t-Shirt. I just about died.

IDK how to explain it. The Beatles music, for example, was radically different from anything you heard in the 80's right?
But is Nirvana super vintage? Or is it still fresh sounding? Would it fit in with rock songs today? Whatever that means.
Yes, definitely vintage and not fresh sounding, although still good music. When I was in high school, we listened to the Doors and wore their t-shirts.... I think it's the same thing for a teen in this time to be listening to and appreciating Nirvana. Music from another era.

I definitely get what you're saying. I just meant that I've always been pretty out of touch with pop culture, so it's hard for me to judge what is truly in step with the times and what is out (unless I just always assume that if I like it, then it's out, LOL). But I think mommylikestattoos is right.
