Would you apply for a job when you are.. *looks down* 27 weeks pregnant?
It's a) in a great company (um, my H, MIL and FIL all work there), b) it's in my field (generally, it's not what I visioned myself doing 5 years ago, but it's something that I can do and I'm not bad at) and c) it's a $8/hour pay increase PLUS benefits and full-time (I'm currently full-time but I'm at one office 3 days a week and a second office the other 2 days to make the hours).
I can't hide that I'm pregnant (I compared -- at 24 weeks this time around, I am as big as I was 32 weeks the last time) but I'm not taking an extended leave and I'm already going to be taking it without pay, but I'm definitely returning to the workforce. I know they can't NOT hire me because I'm pregnant, but I'm sure they'd find a different reason.
I don't think they can legally ask you if you are pg. If you got to the second interview process, then bring it up. I think it's best to be honest about it so you can all be on the same page.

There's really no hiding it lol. I could hardly hide it in the first tri. (I'm seriously considering asking my midwife if she's sure there's only one in there.)
Our office hired someone who was three months pregnant. She wasn't showing but she disclosed it in the interview. I think being upfront about your plans - how long you plan to be out, how sure you are that you'll return - is the best way to do it.

If you feel comfortable then definitely bring it up. Maybe make a light joke about the "elephant in the room" or something. LOL. Tell them your plans for leave and FT employment after. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I submitted my application online on Monday! I've done some recon (because my H, MIL and FIL all work there) and my MIL said that the hiring person in this area is very nice. Also female. So hopefully that works out in my favor (since I generally get the impression that in this company, a lot of the male bosses don't think you'll come back if you have a child, even if you express this as your plan. Not a generalization, H's boss was surprised I was going back to work when he asked H about it).
