I had no idea they could separate a placenta with a laser. I thought that part was interesting.
When we first met w the MFM she explained everything to us, since we were at risk (theoretically, not from anything they saw just b/c of the twin type) for TTTS. The laser thing is so cool!! But it only goes so far.
I think the second biggest relief in the pregnancy, second only to finding out the boys didn't have CF, was when the radiologist randomly checked their cords and saw 3 vessels in each. I hadn't realized until then just how worried about TTTS I was.
Ugh it's a really scary reminder that ultrasounds aren't always the best indicator. I'd have thought they'd seen just how small the littlest one was.
Crazy, I'm so glad she's okay now.
I'm surprised at that too, given how much measuring is done at ultrasounds with risk of TTTS. But yes, definitely a scary reminder that ultrasounds aren't always accurate.
So glad she's okay - I can't believe how teeny tiny she is in that first picture.
I can't imagine how tiny, my son was just over 3lbs at 28 weeks, and was swimming in preemie clothing. I had a hard time even holding him I was so worried I would hurt him some how. I can't imagine him being any smaller. I am so glad shes doing so well now.
