My MIL is asking me to give get gift (for me) suggestions for Christmas. I have heard a lot about Gone Girl and was going to tell her that. I have seen some thing marketed as 'The Gone Girl Trilogy' with Sharp Objects and the other one. I tried to google what order they are in and am not finding much.
Are the books all tied together? Or are they independent of one another? Which one should I read first (and suggest she get me)?
I've read all three and enjoyed them. They are not related to each other at all, so it wouldn't matter which you read first.
I read Gone Girl first, and there are a lot of people who really hate this book at least in part because of the ending, just to warn you. Next I read Sharp Objects, which was my favorite of the three. Dark Places was my least favorite. It was just okay.

I read Gone Girl awhile ago & really liked. My book club decided on Sharp Objects a couple of months ago, b/c most of us had read GG & enjoyed it. Overall, the consensus preferred Sharp Objects, just FYI- if you're deciding between
