I got stung on my thumb once, and my stepmom told me to pee on it because that would "totally take the sting away"........ then I cried all afternoon (I was 10) that my thumb hurt AND had pee on it. lol
Sorry, I don't know what to do, maybe ice? Lift your foot above your heart? I hope it feels better soon!
Meat tenderizer, vinegar and water to form a paste can also help. 1 tbsp of each. Apply to the wound. It might bubble a little. Let sit for 15-20 minutes then apply an ice pack. Once the ice pack warms, the pain is usually gone.
I can't tell you what to do because I would be on my way to the hospital. My foot would be to the size of a bowling ball and I would be having trouble breathing.
I'm not to sure about the meat tenderizer though, we use this on proud flesh on horses to eat it away.
Thanks for the suggestions! The baking soda paste helped I think. I took two benadryls and an aleve and went to bed early. Today the spot is a little sore and itches like nobody's business, but at least that awful firey stinging pain is gone!
Meat tenderizer paste for next time - it probably won't help now. You have to do it right away. It works by breaking down the proteins in the bee's venom.
Ouch. I had a stinging bug (not sure what it was because it happened os fast) kamikaze dive at me and stung my nose. Then it tried crawling up my nose. It was swollen for a week. I say take some advil and ice the sting are.
