Has anyone seen this? We looked at a house and I love it, but the fact that the master bathroom vanity is IN the bedroom kinda creeps me out. The shower and toilet are inside the master bathroom. I'm really creeped if I can see a mirror while I am in bed.
Can anyone think of a temporary solution to sort of hide it? There is only about a foot between the front of the vanity and where the wall sticks out on the left side.
Does it look like it might be possible to eventually move the bathroom wall so it is even with the rest of the wall and the sink is inside the bathroom? The wall is going in the same direction as the peak of the roof. We would obviously have to do something around the window (maybe make it a short hallway?).
Ok I've seen vanities in bedrooms, but never like your pic.
My parents house we have a jack n jill bathroom and the vanities are in the rooms, but they're tucked in a way that they're not "out in the room" you know.
I guess you could take down the huge mirror and put up something smaller, but I would remodel to put the vanity in the bathroom.
Yikes! If you want a temporary fix, I'd hang curtains from the ceiling. I did this in my family room once to hide boxes I was storing. I used the 3M removeable hooks so I didn't have to nail into my ceiling and it worked great.
Maybe one of those room divider screens? I'd definitely remodel though, its weird to me when vanities are not in the bathroom.
We looked at a house that had the bathroom in the bedroom. It was the most bizarre thing I've ever seen - the shower was separated by a curved 3/4 height wall of those glass blocks, the vanity was in the bedroom, and the toilet had it's own little throne room. Seriously the weirdest thing I've ever seen.
I will have to measure to see if a curtain or screen thingy would get in the way of actually using the sink.
I wonder if a home inspector would be able to tell me if that wall could be removed?
I thought about maybe even taking down the mirror. I wouldn't want to get ready in there, so it's not like it really needs one. I would be spraying hairspray all over the carpet and bed if I got ready in there. Let's not even think about what would happen if I dropped makeup on the light tan carpet!
