We used to but cancelled. It was so expensive to have the kids on the membership and very, very intimidating. We live by the Lakeville one which is huuuuuuuge. I felt like I didn't fit in as a working mom that doesn't have a trainer and isn't a size four.

Have you thought about the YMCA? They have tons of classes. When I joined a gym I look at Lifetime, the YMCA and LA Fitness. I felt I fit in much more at the YMCA.

But that's just me.
I've heard this a lot about the lakeville one.
I'm not a member there, but there are lots of missed connections happening in the men's steam rooms according to Craig's List!
I have tried the Maple Grove one a few times but when I have to circle the parking lot several times just to find a spot, it irritates tge crap out of me. And a full parking lot means no equipment is open.
I belong to LA Fitness - it has yoga classes. It's $30/month for my membership fee. Not sure if that's a possibility for you, but it might be worth looking into. They usually have a "3 day free" membership pass you can use to try it out - you can print it off online.
I used to work out at the Mpls. Athletic Club one - it was nice. The pool was so pretty. And very short, so you felt like you were really a swimming star! LOL But it was basically like any other big gym. I've been to a bunch over the years, for whatever reason. Lifetimes can be gigantic, so I feel like there's something for everyone there. And they tend to keep their locker rooms clean, which is always a plus!

I do, and I love it. I regularly go to Highland Park, Bloomington North, and the Minneapolis Athletic Club. I think you would fit in just fine. What locations would you go to?
thedutchgirl probably Uptown (which is small and only has classes) and then St. Louis Park or Highland. Highland might be nice because I could stop there on my way to/from work.

I go to yoga sometimes at HP. I like their yoga studio. I haven't been to the others, but I do like that they are clean and shiny with good class times. I feel like the cost is worth it. Like Lululemon clothes.
Well you know I agree with you about LLL. I would have kept with my CorePower membership, but I was getting frustrated at the membership increasing and only having access to yoga classes.
