Literally as far back as we can go, we have been in Texas. My Uncle did some research and found out that we came from across the pond, but I'm not sure where. Apparently when we got here we went straight to Texas and never left.

I am 100% Italian. My dad's dad came over on the boat in '47. My mom's dad came over shortly before that. Both of my grandmother's were born here, but my maternal great-grandmother's were born in Italy.
My paternal grandfather was from Bari and my paternal grandmother from Calabria. My mother's grandmother was Calabrese as well. I believe my maternal grandfather was all Barese.
My husband is a mix of Scottish, Irish and German and sometimes doesn't understand my crazy Italian family. Part of the reason I didn't change my last name is that BOTH of our last names are very ethnic and so is my first name. My first name with his last name didn't sound very nice put together.

That's why I didn't drop my middle name and replace it with my maiden name.
Maiden name: very German Married name: very French
From my mom's side: German, Polish, Finish, and a tiny bit of both French and Irish.
From my dad's side: Irish. My grandfather was adopted from Ireland, and brough over by an American family, and my grandmother came over with her family.
Scottish, English, Irish, german, and Native american (blackfoot I believe). My great Grandmother on my moms side was either full or half english and my grandmother on my dad's side is Irish. My grandfather on my dad's side was german.
I know there's German and Irish, but that's about it. I mostly claim my German roots, because they are the "strongest"...my grandma was born and raised there and my mom was born there and lived there for a while, so I had more exposure to my German roots.
