Is it bad to give a Christmas gift before Christmas?

My H wants Celtics tickets for Christmas. We set a gift limit of $100 on each of us. His favorite team other than the Celtics is Portland. Portland is playing the Celtics on November 15th. It's not much of a Christmas gift if he gets it over a month early right?

Not in this case, no. Come to think of it, probably not in any case.

Gifts are gifts and I think most people would be glad to receive them whenever.

Be prepared for the xmas eve BJ, though.

I'm taking my Mom to see the Sound of Music singalong show in late December. It's actually the 21st so very close to Christmas. This is her Christmas present.

I don't see a problem with it. Maybe get him something small (My DH loves strange hot sauces) to open on the day of.
