I am planning on applying for a position I found out about from a co-worker. He put in a good word for me and the owner sent me a friend request on FB.
I don't do much on FB (am basically still on it to play Candy Crush) but have never "friended" supervisors or bosses until they weren't my supervisor or boss anymore.
I don't want to decline since I really the job but at the same time I really don't want to accept the invite.
WWMLD?
Should I send a LinkedIn request instead (since that is where I connect with colleagues)? Let the invite sit in limbo (not accepted and no declined)? Something else?
Ugh. I really liked it better when you didn't have to think about this stuff when job hunting.
