H LOVES them but complains all the time about how none of it scares him. I am a chicken shit that grips onto him for dear life and jumps at the slightest shadow in them.

Last year DH and I crossed attending Universal's Halloween Horror Nights off of his bucket list.
7 haunted houses in one night. I didn't necessarily enjoy it, but he was so happy. Like a kid. All his favourite Horror movies brought back to life.
I lost my shit inside of the Silent Hill themed haunted house. There were ashes snowing from the ceiling and the characters in the movie are awful. It was awful. Awful.

Did they play the siren? That sound was awesome in the movie.

Yes! and it also smelled like brimstone. I had the hardest time watching that movie, I did not like experiencing it in real life at all. As soon as we walked in I told DH it was a terrible idea.

Ugh. H wants to go to this next year. No way in hell would I be able to make it through without peeing my pants!

If you go, make sure you spend the extra $35pp for the express lane tickets. They were critical for us to be able to get through all 7 haunted houses in one night.
You can also go on some of the rides in the dark which is awesome. Just the decor and the characters walking around the park at night are amazing. It was overall a good experience, but Silent Hill was very bad.
I also freaking loved the Classic Hollywood Monsters haunted house. So cool. The Walking Dead one was also good. They had scenes being reinacted from the first season.
Some people just like being scared. I used to like haunted houses/hayrides but now I'm old and cranky, and I think they're ridiculously overpriced and I hate people getting in my face. lol
I'd go visit a supposedly real haunted house any day of the week, though. As long as it was in the daylight.
