DD's daycare teacher sent a text that they could wear their costumes tomorrow but to also bring a change of clothes so they don't get stained. I planned on sending her in a cute little Halloween dress that has a pumpkin on it. I don't want her to risk messing up her costume, but I will also feel bad if she is the only one not in costume.

When Will was in preschool, we sent him in regular clothes and sent his costume in his bag. They changed all the kids into their costumes for the party.
Awwww!!! Cute!!! I'm sending David in the one from last year. It still fits him and he actually wants to wear it. He needs his new one for Halloween AND his birthday party and those things don't really wash.

See they are not even having a party. It is a home daycare and there are only 12 of them. Half were out sick today and she isn't sure how many will even be there tomorrow. I just hate for her to feel left out if they are all dressed up.
Think I can get by with telling her she is a pumpkin princess? Lol
I'm not understanding why it's ok to stain the dress but not to stain the costume.
In any event, I assume everything a child wears will get stained.
Probably because the teachers are afraid the parents will bitch if the costume gets ruined for Halloween. "You ruined my lyfe and my kid can't trick or treat now" Just a guess, but I am not a parent or a crazy lol

I don't want her to mess up the costume during the day because she will also have to wear it tomorrow night. I don't want her to ruin it before we go trick or treating.
