My beans are going crazy... I had to freeze several because even eating them every night, I have too many! They are the only thing I've cultivated yet, but everything else is growing great, and I should have peppers, zucchini, blackberries, and eggplant coming in the next week or two.

Awful I'm a terrible gardener! But every year I try again, I'm like the little engine that could.... except I think I can't lol! I'm single handedly keeping this adorable little nursery outpost on my ride home from work open, I think, so that's something anyway! Yeay local economy! Haha

My garden is very thirsty. We are having a pretty bad drought here in Ohio. Luckily we are not under a watering ban, but I'm trying to prepare for one. We just had some bales of hay delivered and I'm going to use it as mulch.

I got a late start on my vegetable garden, and then spent too much time taking care of my dad's garden. Right now I have some SS100 tomatoes about ready to eat. Some of the hot peppers will probably be good next week. The good news is I've been eating the peas, spinach, and lettuces from dad's garden.
With everything here, it's just really hot. (We aren't near the fires though) and I'm just trying to keep it well watered.

I have tons of cherry tomatoes, but they're all green so far. I got a big zucchini last week and a couple of yellow squash so far. We got a lot of peas earlier in the season, but they're dying back now. Tons of cucumber flowers, but no cucumbers yet. I've gotten some radishes and carrots. My jalapeno plants are doing nothing. I get enough strawberries for a bowl of cereal every couple of days as long as DS doesn't get to them first.
Next year I'm going to double to garden and try corn, sunflowers, and maybe a melon/pumpkin patch.
ETA: no pole beans yet, but they're happily climbing.

We have had thunderstorms on and off for 5 days now, my gardens have taken a beating with the sudden down pours but are over all good. I am harvesting the last of my lettuce and my cilantro has bolted. I have some beets that look ready.
I think this will be a good dahlias year, I put them in a little early because we had an usually warm spring so they are already budding up. I usually wouldn't have dahlias until the end of July.

Not great - the deer really set us back. But we got a couple peppers and some squash ready to pick. Our peaches are almost ready to but it looks like they'll all be here at once....

We have a plot in the community garden which has a tall fence to keep out deer. I would like to have additional gardening space in our yard next year, but I'm worried about the deer. I don't know if it would be worth it unless we put in some kind of fence.
we got about half a dozen zucchinis and then the squash bugs destroyed the plant overnight. So sad Fortunately my dad has 2 dozen zucchini plants so we have a hookup
our tomatoes are looking good, cherries are starting to ripen, grapes will soon, romas are looking promising. Herbs and peppers also doing well.

All my annuals are crapping out. Even "full sun"do much better when they get less than full sun. It's just TOO intense otherwise, esp on container plants that have limited root room. When the roots fill up the container, the plant runs out out water resources and starts to decline. Even watering twice a day.
