No idea. It's our first year here so I have no idea what to expect. I bought $150 worth of candy, so I better get some trick or treaters or else...I just don't even know. Lol.
We didn't have any last year because the more populated neighborhood is just a little ways up from us so we tend to get passed over, but the kids on our particular street are a little older this year so I just put out a huge bowl and a help yourself sign I wouldn't mind if they rang the bell because our dog lovesssss kids and I love kids in costumes but we tend to not be near our front door and I don't want anyone to go without candy if we miss the bell!
OMG, we had a million. We ran out of candy and had to shut off our lights. I knew our neighborhood was kid friendly, but didn't know what to expect. There were cops patrolling our circle, kids from everywhere in crowds, people riding hay filled tractors down the street. I spent 40 on candy in hopes that I would have a bunch left over. No such luck.
Thankfully the rain started, so we don't look completely horrible for stopping early.

We usually have 50+. Tonight we've had less than half of that. I'm waiting for a friend & her kids to come so I can dump the rest of my gnarly looking angry birds ring pops.
We usually give out six 10 ounce bags of candy. This year we only gave out about 3 and 1/2 bags and we gave out 2 pieces instead of the usual one. It was really rainy and yucky here.
49 - our lowest number in the 11 years we've lived here. We've had from 80 to almost 400 in the past. I had bought huge bags of candy at Sam's and passed out 2 pieces per kid. I have a whole big bag we didn't even open and a few left out of the first.
The kids were so cute. We've always had really polite kids that remember to say Trick or Treat or Happy Halloween and say thank you. Several told me to have a nice night. Some years the costumes aren't even costumes but this year they were all so cute and not expensive stuff - just cute.

HOLY SHIT. Are you handing out big boxes of Godiva? Lol

We normally get around 100 - we're up to 60 at 9pm. The rain and wind have definitely slowed things down. We have a lot of leftover candy and we were giving it out by the fistful.
We went through 3 big bags of candy in 45 minutes. I had to make an emergency trip to the store for more. Y'all, there are people parked EVERYWHERE in the neighborhood. I could barely drive out. I'm going to have to be better prepared next year because, apparently, this is the happening place to ToT.
It has been pouring on and off and we got cleaned out by 7. It didn't help thatHenry was handing stuff over with two fists, but still way more than I expected this afternoon.
We had around 50 kids. I asked the last bunch if there were many kids out and they said no so I gave them huge handfuls. Looks like I'm almost done, and only a bottle of wine down :0
