The ones that give me the creeps the most are probably The Strangers, Vacancy, and When a Stranger Calls. I get more spooked by non-supernatural movies, things about serial killers or bad guys that could actually happen, IMO.

What was the movie with the couple that realized that there was a film of the previous occupants of their hotel room being murdered in it? Was that vacancy? That movie terrified me.
H is super into scary movies, he likes the supernatural ones. I think Sinister with Ethan Hawke was pretty good, as was Insidious. I also just saw the Conjuring this week and I liked it. Bonus is that it is based on a true story and took place in RI!
I want to see Sinister! Loved The Conjuring and The Strangers scares the bejeesus out of me.
Sinister was SO good. I really think its the best scary movie I have seen in a long time. And like I said, H loves the genre so we watch a lot of them.

I used to LOVE scary movies...I grew up watching Freddy Kruger, Jason, Chuckie, children under the stairs, why my parents let a kid under 10 watch these movies I don't know, but when I did love scary movies, The Shinning was my favorite. I don't know what happened, but the older I got the bigger the chicken I got.
The last scary movie I watched was like..4-5 years ago and it was The Strangers...that broke the camels back. I am literally scarred by that movie.
I watched When a Stranger Calls last night too, that one always creeps me out especially when home alone. I agree though that The Strangers is like the scariest movie of all time.
