We are in an unusual situation of having a piano from our home shipped to someone else in another state. It is a somewhat touchy situation, but the other party is selecting the movers and paying for the move to take place.
We are mostly concerned about our liability. What kinds of questions should we be asking the moving company? We want to be sure that we are not responsible for any damage to the goods or to the movers while on our property, and also that THEY are responsible for any damage caused to our property.
We have never used movers before, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
I think if they are insured and bonded, that should be sufficient. I would also check with the BBB and google the company to see if there are complaints.
