Amazon never sells for the cover price. I preordered Design Sponge at Home and I think it was $10 off cover price.
I like the wood letters. I think taking that concept and doing each word in a different texture would have worked - wood, fabric, something. They kind of did that but it just looks flat.
OMG that is horrible! I like the big wording but the obvious cut and paste contrast between the subjects and the background is bad along with the choice for graphics. Looks like an armature Photoshop project.
So are there 243 or 251 ways to......make crap? (There is a discrepancy in the Amazon description and the book title). If I am paying 15 "bones" for the book (which I am NOT), I would want to get my money's worth for each and every "idea."
Just FYI, Amazon, not the publisher or the author, sets the price a book will sell for on its site. UIL is an author and publisher and refuses to do business with Amazon, no matter how much exposure it costs him, because he feels his works are worth more than Amazon will give them away for. Soooo apparently Amazon doesn't think too highly of YHL
That is craptastic! Holy cow! WOW. Um, I like how they did the word "House" but other than that, it looks like a high school computer class project. Seriously that is the photo of the two of them they picked? FFS, why are they even on the cover? Any nice coffee table book about home decor/diy stuff has a photo of a beautiful room on the front, or a photo of a floral arrangement or something....something that is beautiful and pleasing to look at when placed in aroom.

I totally get that, but the fact that it is 41% off before it has even "hit the shelves" surprises me.
Just wanted to clarify that while the book cover looks incredibly craptastic now, they did say a couple of weeks ago that that's not the real cover. I guess Amazon or the publisher just puts something out as a placeholder cover until the real one is finalized. Let's hope the real one is a vast improvement.
