That is so, incredibly sad. Those poor kids. I dont know what I believe as far as ghosts/spirits/etc, but my guess is that the kids were scared and didnt want to tell anyone and made up a story about the mom cooking so that no one would be suspicious.
I don't know how I feel about the mom/ghost cooking. I would have to see evidence of very recent meal prep beyond the scope of a 6 year old. Even then. It's so sad.
As a matter of fact what bothers me the most is that there is a room in my house that makes me uncomfortable and the other night my 8 year old told me he thinks that room is haunted bc he sees ghosts in there. :-(

DS is always smiling and saying "Hi" to random empty corners of our house. I just say to him very cheerfully, "Is your angel visiting today?" and try not to think about it too hard.

my best friend from hs said that she could communicate with spirits. I'm still not sure if I believe her or not, but there have been times that its pretty goddamned convincing.
