My smelly, moldy car saga continues. Design flaw in a/c system and all that jazz.
So I'm opening up to options of electric/hybrid vehicles. Meaning villageidiot is coming around to the idea. I work for Chevy, so I'm pretty sure I can get my General Manager to give me a sweet deal on a new one. I think with the $7500 tax credit and savings in gas (I wouldn't have to fill up like ever since my commute is about 40 mi/day), it could end up being less than my Toyota Camry was.
So if you have or had a Volt, what are your pros and cons?
I can't give specifics but my aunt just got one and will not shut up about how much she loves it.
Do you know what she loves about it?
I wonder how much my electric bill will go up. But I also assume they'll let me charge at work occassionally. That would be noice.
She really likes how it drives, and she hasn't seen a major change in her electric bill but she almost never has to put gas in it. I think it's the lack of gas spending that really blows her mind. She was driving a Suburban before so it's a huge change.

Yes, my H drives it primarily since his commute is shorter than mine. He charges at work for the most part but also at home during the weekends. There has been no significant increase in the electric bill, I think they equate it to having an additional large appliance such as a fridge plugged in. We fill up the gas tank maybe every month and half or 2 months? Not often at all.
