I painted my toes pink and now I'm trying to apply this, and NO GLITTER is basically coming of the brush. So I have, like, 3 glitter chunks on my big toe and nothing else. LOL. I'm going to have to apply 80,000 coats to get it really glittery, huh?
apalettepassion.wordpress.com/ WHO IS BONQUIQUI!?!?!?!??!

I've used a cuticle stick or qtip to manually place the glitter. It's a pain. Look into Sephora's Formula X glitter polish. I don't have this problem at all with those ones.
I always just apply 80k coats. It dries quickly and the plus side is I can peel it off. The con is it doesn't always look awesome. Trying to get glitter off with nail polish remover is a special kind of torture though so it is worth it.

I've found with most glitter polishes you need the 80k coats to get the desired glitter affect (effect? I don't know). And to help it dry I would use Seche Vite top coat.
To get it off I just use straight acetone. I don't even bother will nail polish remover anymore or else it would take me 3 hours.
It seriously works. Its changed my glitter loving life.
I'm going to try this! Have you used the Sephora Formula X polishes? They are pricey but I've loved the glitter ones I've tried, they are packed with glitter. And they stay on my nails for almost a week with no chips.

Really? What am I doing wrong? I have the effects top coat that looks like splatter paint and I LOVE it, but it chips in a day. I've tried two different base coats and base colors.

NOt yet, but I seriously want them ALL.
I would definitely recommend them and I think they put together a pretty good set.

Have you used the Formula X base coat? Also, I know that the splatter paint one says it's a top coat, but I would still do another clear top coat on top of it. Just to be safe. Also, are you making sure your nails are completely clean before you do your base coat? I like to go over my clean nails with acetone/nail polish remover/rubbing alcohol before I do a base coat.

No, I'm doing none of those things. I'll try them next time. Thanks!
