So I used to always say realistic, but this movie freaked me out. I will say, the realistic ones tend to "stick" longer... if I hear a sound I get paranoid, etc.

I don't care for either. Although right now H is watching the Conjuring and I'm really enjoying watching him watch this movie (I'm not paying attention to it but he is like leaning forward, shouting things at the TV).

lol you are my husband. He likes just watching me freak out, but they don't scare him at all.

Oh make no mistake these movies scare the SHIT out of me! I am just sitting with my back to the TV and laughing at H going, "Oh HELL no! Well don't go in there, why would you go in there??"
It would not be nearly as funny if I was looking at the TV.
Realistic. I don't really believe in ghosts or any of the paranormal stuff personally, so they don't freak me out that much. But realistic horror movies make me want to double check all my locks and never be alone in my house ever again. I love them though.
