Hey guys, I need some help decorating my somewhat small bedroom with large furniture. Here you can see that my bed is in an awkard place on the wall. The windows are kind of off center, etc....so it makes placement difficult.
This is the only place that I can put the bed and we love our furniture, so I won't be getting rid of any of it any time soon....so I guess it is "work with what ya got".
What would you suggest I put on the wall above the bed? Something that can help even out that wall? I was thinking a large circular monogram decal or maybe some sort of 3 frame arrangement.

Can you angle the bed in the corner - it might waste space, but it also might create some good symmetry?
Otherwise, I think you're I would skip something over the bed and instead put some extended curtain rods with some floor-length curtains at the edge of each of the windows to add a splash of color and design.
Also changing out the light/fan for a more interesting one that goes with your furniture would also work to add some design to the room. And fun matching bedside lamps could add accent without needing to add pictures/art in that wall space.

Thanks for the response. I definetely could not angle the bed. It would not fit with the dressers. Right now I have one curtain panel on each window "pulled back" to kind of open the space. Maybe I am totally off in thinking that. I do agree that I need a pop of color/contrast in there.

I think that I'd try to center the bed in front of the window (if you can) and lose the bottom part of the window and see what it looks like if you add a long curtain rod and floor length sheers or light curtains to extend the look of the window.
Could you hang curtains around one of the windows to appear that it's center with the wall and put your bed in the middle of the wall? You wouldn't be able to open the curtains all the way though or else it would show the fact that the window is not center. Does that make sense? Or even put curtains along one entire wall like this?
Do you have other pics/angles of the room? It's easier to make suggestions when we can see the whole room KWIM? That we know exactly what you're working with.

Excuse the laundry...put here is another shot. This is the right side of the bed. If you can see, we cant really move the bed because then we wouldn't be able to open our dresser drawers.
This might be a better picture of the full room. If you can see, there is a tall dresser in front of the window on the right that prevents us from moving the bed over anymore.
You can see what is to the left of the camera. We have a long dresser on that wall. We wouldn't be able to open the door all the way if we put it on that wall.
This configuration really gives us the most room. It's just a matter of decorating to make the most of it.
Can you put your dresser on another wall by any chance? Maybe even in a corner on an angle? Or are doors and closets in the way?
Can you ditch the little table on the left and move the bed all the way to the wall so it's center with the wall? Not ideal, but it would be center with something.
I would do chunkier curtains. The sheers you have don't work with the heavy furniture you have going on. What about some mirrors to help open the space? And some more pillows to make your bed look ultra plush. I feel like your bedding is lacking IMO too (sorry, it's kind of boring, but that's just my opinion). I feel like you should go for something patterned and fun to take your eye off the fact that the bed isn't center with the wall. Go ahead and OWN the fact that the bed isn't center with the wall or window.
Also, can you move the tall dresser at all to the right? That corner looks way too crowded. Moving the dresser away from the night stand would help it not look so cramped.

Thanks! no reason to be sorry. I came here looking for opinions. I agree that it is lacking in alot of ways. I am by no means good at this. So, I will just rely on you guys to tell me what to do.
I had some heavier chocolate brown panels (hung back the same way), but felt that they were too heavy and made the room look even smaller.

Our room is awkward and we have big furniture too so I feel your pain lol. What is in the spot where you're taking the picture from? Our layout is bed in the center, night stands on each side (I got them after that picture above was taken) and then the tall dresser in a corner at an angle so it fits.
I would stick with lighter colored curtains but something fancier. White faux silk? And a different lamp. Maybe something delicate and metallic? I wouldn't necessarily hang anything over the bed because it might draw attention to the fact that the window is off-centered.

The door is right where I am standing. On the wall to my right is a closet with bifold doors. To my left is a long dresser. uuuugghhhh, I will figure something out.

This is what I was going to suggest. And ditto to the chunkier curtains. Also, could you do a rug under the bed for some color? And if you move the bed against the wall, I'd suggest a rectangular mirror or piece of art centered above the bed.
