Just a warning, he might be a completely different baby once his due date comes. Within a few days of Tiffany's due date she completely changed. Our pedi was like yeah preemies do that.
I have heard this. I wonder what will happen with D.

Mine started to cry on her due date.
We didn't bother with regular tummy time until 3 months because she hated it. but if you insist, rolling up a receiving blanket and putting it under their chest at armpit level helps some babies like it more.
Another vote for the piano one...we got it a few weeks ago and AJ adores it. We also have the Baby Einstein ocean one and he loves it too. Either one gives me time to eat something or put laundry away or something like that, which makes them well worth the money in my book.
This is reassuring. I had a crisis about whether I'm over or under stimulating Mr O. Other that eat, sleep, cry, fend off the cat/preschooler, all I do is talk to him about my day and occasionally read articles from Vogue and Real Simple. He's going to be an expert on botox and organization.
the kick n play is awesome. Squirms loved that thing but not until after she reached her due date and actually woke up a bit more. I mostly let her lay on her back and kick the piano and smack the toys and we'd do a bit of tummy time too.
He has a mirror and mobile thingys that hang from his mapper though.
Yes do get one. Early on it gave me enough time to make and eat toast. Now at 6 month I can also have coffee in the same sitting.
As of right now, I can do quite a bit of things, because after he eats, I can put him in the napper, and he will sleep until he eats again. Around 4 pm, he will wake up and look around, but otherwise, he isn't do anything.
this post made me go back and look at pictures of my DD when she was tiny. Here is a pic of her on her due date, I think it's the most open her eyes had been yet. She was like "whoa! there is so much to see!"
He should be hanging out, looking cute, making you change his diaper, letting people oooh and ahhhh over him, and peeing on you. If you don't get peed on at least once a week until he's around four months old, you're doing it wrong.

G is a month old and we don't do much with her. We give her tummy time and let her chill on her play mat for a while even though she doesn't do much on it. We also have this little book the doctor gave us with black and white images we show her and make her follow. That's about the extent of her activity. But mostly she sleeps, eats and poops.

That was mine too. After 8 weeks is when she started to wake more. By three months she was using her mats and I needed that time.
Mine was 4 weeks early. And those first 4 weeks were just eat, sleep, diaper change. Enjoy it while it lasts

I figured this was coming. I'm not ready for that at all!
Someone in my neighborhood is selling one for $14, so I bought it!
Sweet! Those bad boys go for $50-60 new so that's a killer deal. Shit, I got AJ's secondhand for $30 and damn near did a happy dance! D probably won't be into it for a little while yet, but once he is you'll know it and it'll be awesome
