When I was a kid, I was very into frilly clothing, dresses, shoes, etc.
As a teen my wardrobe consisted of black shirts, black hoodies, dark wash jeans, DC shoes, and giant baggy pants with chains on them. (That I wore mostly to piss my aunt off. Wearing them to school sucked because the criss-cross chain would get me stuck to the chair, LOL). Basic black eyeliner.
At 16 I finished off high school homeschooled, it's then that I went through a huge change and started wearing colors. My entire wardrobe changed to bright colored t-shirts, light blue jeans, and colorful hoodies. I also started carrying the world's smallest purse.
Around 19 I really got into liking clothing, worked retail and was introduced to cute clothing. I'd buy sweaters, flats, cardigans, dressy shirts. And that developed into my style now.
At 23, my style is a mix of business casual and sweaters and blue jeans. Almost every top I own could be worn to an office for work and I have no qualms about wearing dress pants to go to lowes. I have come a long, LONG, way and I now carry big, colorful purses. I am also into learning about how to dress the body I have. As a teen I dressed to hide or blend in. Now I'm all "fuck it, the world knows I'm fat, I might as well buy cute clothing because people will know regardless."

I'm boring in regards to clothing. I pretty much always wear a tank top under a solid colored long sleeved T-shirt and jeans. I work from home, so I only have to wear business casual stuff once every couple months when I go to my office. In the summer I wear maxi dresses and flip flops a lot.

In HS, I didn't have much of a personal style because I wore uniforms to school.
In college, I wore mainly hoodies and jeans. It was all about being comfortable.
Over the past few years I think I have finally developed a sense of personal style. My favorite fall/winter outfit is leggings, boots, and long drapey cardigans with scarves. You can find me in that most weekend days.
For work, I like sweater dresses, dress pants, and lots of blazers and cardigans.
My personal style is kind of all over the place, and always has been. I'd say the most noticeable change is that it kills me to wear heels anymore, and I used to be all about them. Now I'm rarely in them.

I wear mostly black and no patterns of any sort.
My recent MAJOR change has been joining the new millennium by buying skinny jeans/jeggings. What changed my mind about this is when Booby write that skinny jeans are more flattering than boot cut. I didn't believe it until recently when I bought a few pairs and saw how dramatically different I looked. One of my good friends even complimented me and told me that the skinny jeans/pants are MORE flattering on me as opposed to the boot cut. My mind was blown!

My teenage self was very focused on being ' punk as fuck'. Everything I wore was thrifted and as offensive as possible. I don't feel the need to offend anymore and I my post kid body didn't fit into my band shirts anymore anyway. So I'm staring over in a bit of fashion limbo. Trying to marry being a mom with the edgy aesthetic that feels comfortable to me.

I was big boned in high school--not necessarily overweight, but always self conscious of my size compared to my skinnier friends so I always hid behind oversized tshirts. My mother was never concerned with fashion so my desire for cool clothing styles went ignored for the most part.
I wear a variety--usually business casual at work, including slacks, dresses and skirts. I stick to classic styles and fabrics that will hold up for years. I try not to spend a lot of money on obvious trends. I'm not afraid of color, but gravitate toward neutrals. I prefer trouser cut jeans.
Like eb777888, WNTW has been my continuing education and has helped keep me in check when I'd find myself in the "I don't give a shit what I look like" funk, particularly when I'm on the heavier side.

As a kid, I was decked out in "cute" kid 80's clothes by my mom. Cute, as in, turtle necks and jumpers. then in middle school I decided that I would pick out my OWN jumpers, and go with plaid, and coordinating oversized t-shirts and socks (and keds, of course). HS saw me try to merge grunge with prep. You can guess how well that worked out. Senior year I dabbled in Hippie with a dash of preppy, because my boyfriend wanted desperately to be a cool stoner hippie, and I wanted desperately to keep him around (not entirely sure why).
College - tried to maintain my "independent" style at J.Crew-U, but went ahead and followed the masses to the degree I could afford (meaning, not very well, because I couldn't afford any of that stuff). Now, if left to my own devices I generally go with skinny jeans, flats, solid t-shirt and cardigan/sweater. Thank goodness for this place and a couple IRL stylish friends to give me a little push (or shove) away from that.
In high school, my wardrobe consisted of jeans, black baggy pants with chains, black band shirts, hoodies, anarchy brand tennis shoes, chucks, and combat boots. Also, my hair was constantly changing.
I'm still currently in college (I'm 24) and my wardrobe is a very eclectic; its a mix of comfortable vintage, indie, and a bit hipster. Lots of graphic tees, skinny jeans, scarves, chiffon shirts, ballet flats, flip flops, and ugg boots.

My personal style has been a bit all over the place in years past, but I've always dressed modestly. This year is the first year, that, at 25, I really feel like I know how to dress. I attribute this to Pinterest and the OOTD threads.
