I have to write a thank you note to my past place of employment for a gift card that they gave me, as well as a cake get together on my last day. I did not care for it there, had no respect for management and in all honesty, I don't think management cared for me much either. That said there are a couple of people there that helped me out soo much, and that I became pretty close with.
I have to say thank you, however can't, in all honesty, say I will miss them or the place or the work. So what the heck do I say, in this big, empty card. Should I fib, just to make is sound nice? Please help me with some text. I am just blank.....
Then, say "Dear All, I was so touched and pleased with the wonderful send off you gave me! The gift card was so nice and completely unexpected; it was wonderful to be able to buy a ______ with it. Whenever I look at ____ I'll think of you. I have a lot of happy memories from my time at X company, and wish you all the best! Sincerely, Penelope".
As far as the two that helped you out so much, send them each their own, individual note to their homes, thanking them for all they did for you, and how you will not forget it .
