I'm a lurker here (post mostly on MM) but I took the exam and passed last January. I also took a prep course. Honestly, my best advice is to go over the SHRM books and take as many quizzes as you can. I also bought the Anne Bodgarus book off Amazon. It has a really nice, extensive exam as well and explains the answers well. There are tons of cases and I really don't remember more than a handful on the exam. It's more "what would you do in this situation" and getting you to think about scenarios. Very few questions asked, "what is the definition of this". Good luck! As I was taking it, I thought I was screwed (and my 3 co-workers who took it said the same thing). It's a hard test, but just practice as much as possible and study a lot over the next month!

Oh and also, I remember there being a lot of OD and training on mine. Some people say their test was full of union questions and while I do remember there being maybe 8 or so, it wasn't overwhelming for me.
