It's all over his body. Drs have confirmed it's all related. But it keeps spreading (drs said peak today/tomorrow). He's happy on ibuprofen so I think he must be sore/achey. Is there anything else I can do? I'm keeping him home today even though daycare said kids can go w the rash (since they were contagious before the rash). I feel so so bad.
. I'm so sorry. I don't have any input, but I'm very sorry. Can you use anything like Benedryl clear gel or caladryl clear? No sure if allowed for little kiddos but those give me relief sometimes from burning hives or rashes (caladryl clear helped w shingles relief a little).
I'm sorry, that has to suck so much to see as a mom. And so hard to keep both twins from getting it, I bet!
Maybe try an oatmeal bath?? Both of my kids have had HFM 3+ times, it's the absolute worst. My daughter would always just get a few sores on her mouth and hands, but my son was covered head to toe all three times.
When D had roseola the rash bothered her so much, even though it wasnt "supposed to" she looked and felt much better after an oatmeal bath. Hope he feels better soon!
The bug must be really nasty this year. Jack has had it before and the rash was NBD. This year it was terrible for both boys. The diaper/butt area was the worst.
Just keep him drugged up. You are almost to the end.
Yeah eddy last time it was just on their hand and feet and the worst was before the rash showed. He's cuddly and i think after nap we'll do an oatmeal/baking soda bath. Thanks guys. He's eating really well so i think he's on the up but I'm glad i have him home today.
