So DH had a weird feeling at work yesterday. They brought someone in for an interview and he had the feeling he might be being replaced (not real concrete evidence that I'm aware of). Today HR emailed him to ask if he was ever in the military. Any ideas why they would ask that? I'm hoping it's Veteran's Day related and just a day late. Anyone in HR know if being a veteran is tied to severance pay or something? He was laid off from a job 5 years ago and it really did a number on his work self esteem. TIA.
