update on H's hearing aid

On Sunday, I posted here that I discovered my H's $2400 hearing aid in the wash. Several ladies suggested putting it in rice, like you would with an iphone or ipod. We let the hearing aid stay in the rice for 36-ish hours and tested it on Monday evening. And it worked!!! I am so relieved that we won't have to shell out $2400 to replace it. <)

Womet, that's awesome!!!! My stomach sank when I read your original posting about the hearing aid in the laundry - excellent update. AND I think a good lesson for your H to be really careful moving forward What a close call.

Agreed. He started taking it out and leaving it in a small dish that we have on the dresser.

I'm going to remember this for my Grandma's hearing aids. I know my Mom bought her new ones when the nursing home didn't take them out when she took a shower.
