FIVE THINGS that are either going well this week, or that you like about yourself right now. Doesn't matter if you've already told us. Five things, go.
1) I slept in my makeup and didn't reapply this morning so I have a smudgy eye thing going on that I like right now.
2) Poutine truck is outside today. Boo yah.
3) I finally got most of the thank you cards from A's birthday done last night.
4) We're half done with Christmas shopping already.
5) I've been keeping the kitchen really clean. Doing all the dishes every night and sweeping/swiffering the floor. It's usually pretty quick, but I told myself I wanted to take good care of it, and I have been. ***pats self on back***
1- I've started a new workout program and have been doing well. Seemed to have GAINED weight, though, which I don't like. But overall- I feel it's going well. 2- In conjunction w/ #1 - have been making more of an attempt to eat better. 3- Going to NYC this weekend. DS is super excited and his excitement rubs off! Going to see the ROCKETTES! I've never done that. 4- Meeting 2 friends for lunch today who I haven't seen in forever. Can't wait. (So, really, screw #2) 5- Today is my Friday (see point #3).

1) I crafted all evening on Tuesday. I plan on doing it again tonight. 2) I taught (with the help of a guy on the bus on Sunday) PF how to do double thumbs up. 3) I made 2 awesome dinners this week that have provided me with leftovers to bring lunch to work every day. 4) I have dinner plans with two girlfriends tomorrow night. I can't wait. 5) I have been finding my inner strength more. I have a long way to go, but it's there.

1) Thought provoking, if difficult, therapy session on Tuesday. 2) H & I seem to be much less tense right now. 3) I am fancy underwear shopping this weekend, should be fun? 4) I am going to have lamb curry for lunch. 5) My seat heaters work.

First... AAAAAWWWWW! I want to snuggle them so hard!
1) My boss has told me no less than a dozen times this week that she missed me and is so glad I'm back. It's nice to feel appreciated. 2) My coffee is delicious.
3) My hair cut is really growing on me. After the initial shock, I'm really liking it!
4) Tomorrow is Friday. I'm a little bit excited to have a break when DS goes to see his dad. I'm hoping for some nice weather so I can do a lot of walking.
5) I'm joining a gym on Saturday. I probably should save the money, but I think that this is a relatively small expense that will supply me with much needed stress relief and (eventually) an ego boost.
1. I had a delicious soy white mocha yesterday. 2. Happy hour with coworkers last night was a blast. 3. I switched curl cream brands and I am no longer shedding quite as much as I used to. 4. You guys are cool. 5. This weekend is going to be a lot of fun.

I'm having a really shitty week. Like, really really. I'll be reaching with some of these.
1. I like the bangs I got cut last week. They're finally falling right. 2. My wedding photographer invited me to her blog launch party at the end of the month. It will be a good networking opportunity now that I'm exploring opening a vintage furniture stall at an antiques market. 3. I really enjoy working with women. I see all the data that says women are supposed to hate each other in the workplace, but I've always thrived in a female-centric environment. I've been doubly blessed that I've been around so many women in my male-dominated profession. 4. I'm pregnant. 5. We're getting a DVR that can record 5 shows at once. Praise be to Jesus and Andy Cohen.
1) I RAN A HALF MARATHON ON SUNDAY. WOOT. 2) I've cut out sugars and booze again for a little while until I can get them under control. 3) The fall foliage is still so gorgeous outside. 4) My hair turned out cute today, I've been doing it a different way the past week or so and went to another style today. 5) I am trying to enjoy all the time I have left with our foster dog. Extra hugs and smushes for him.

SCREEEECH!! WHAT?? You can't just hide that in here!!

You may just be retaining water, that happens to me when I start a new workout program. In time, your body will adjust.
1. I gave two kick-ass lectures today so I feel smart and powerful. 2. I'm already super excited to visit my family at Christmas time. 3. I already started my Christmas list so I feel on top of things this year! 4. I'm pregnant. 5. Mr. Smock is taking a half-day tomorrow so we're having an afternoon date!
Thanks everyone. I'm cautiously optimistic. My first u/s is scheduled a week from today. I'll start feeling more confident once I can confirm there is a heartbeat in there.
bowies, your hematologist is aware of the BFP and stuff?
I was pre-cleared by 3 different doctors, so everything is on the up-and-up. I'm on daily injections of Lovenox already.
My risks are the same now vs. 1 year from now vs. 3 years from now so we made the decision that younger is likely better. My OB has had patients like me before and he has a great working relationship with the high-risk OB who is consulting.
1. Tomorrow is my Birthday. I am turning 30. My boss gave me the day off! 2. Saturday my H is throwing me a party. My friend is djing, making a tres leches cake and H said he has caterers! (Caterers... that feels so grown up) 3. My Grandma sent me 40 bucks for my birthday. I am going to go buy something cute to wear Saturday. 4. I have worked out every morning this week. I feel awesome. 5. I have been getting up early to work out and do chores etc. My house looks awesome. 6. For my Birthday. H is making drunken gummy bears. My house smells like fruit punch and gummies.
2. I have some really awesome, supportive coworkers.
3. One of my clients got mad at her ex-bf because he said I didn't know what I was doing (he's never met me, just didn't like that I didn't tell her to stay with him). This cracked me up and we had a good laugh together.
4. My cats are ADORABLE and snuggly.
5. I got a new mascara in my Birchbox. I think it's full-sized. Anyway, I'm loving it so far!
6. I think the ativan helped relax my muscles a little!
7. I think I'm pretty and pretty awesome.
I know that's more than we were supposed to do, but I needed all that. Thank you for making us do this!

Glad you're already on the lovenox. That was a problem with me - hematology decided to "wait and see" and i ended up with the DVTs. Bad news bears.
1. I've finally perfected my mashed potatoes. I'm a little horrified about how much butter you need to make really good mashed potatoes. But then I eat another spoonful and forget about it 'cause they're soooo good.
2. My hair is back to it's correct length. I got it cut a couple months ago and I was too adventureous. It was about 4 inches too short. Luckily, my hair grows really fast.
3. I had the secks 3 times this week.
4. I bought ingredients to make challah this weekend. I was going to do it last weekend, but discovered too late that I was out of sugar and forgot to get poppy seeds. So, I'll do it this weekend. If it turns out well, I'm making a loaf for each house we'll be visiting on Thanksgiving.
6. I'm drowning myself in music today. Makes the day go faster.
Me too! I've been listening to BBC live lounge covers of different songs. So far my favorite is Bastilles cover of Mily Cyrus We Can't stop. I'm not a fan of her but this man's voice is amazing.
