I am going to a "favorite things" party this year and we are each supposed to bring our favorite thing $5 or less (x5, 1 for each person at the party). These are all women in their late twenties/early thirties. Last year we came home with nail polish, little jars from Ikea, $2 chuck, mini spatulas, etc.
I need some ideas for this year. What are your favorite things that cost less than $5?
Dollar Tree sometimes has little sets of three small glass prep bowls. I have two sets and I use them all the time, both in cooking and for, say, a single portion of dip. The website says they're out of stock but stores might have them.
Trader Joe's hand cream is wonderful and it's like $2.
p.s. I resized these but it apparently didn't take. Are photos not resizing for anyone else today?
I LOVE magazines and hot chocolate, so I would consider bringing each person my favorite magazine and hot chocolate mix so they could read with a nice mug of hot chocolate.
If you like anything from Bath & Body Works, you could get the small container of your favorite scent...I think those are usually around $3.50.
Burt's Bees chapstick Strawberry Chapstick BBW kitchen lemon hand soap Pilot G2gel pens (in fun colors) Reese's PB Christmas Trees Dylan's Candy Bar caramel chocolate bars
What a fun idea for a holiday party! Here are a few ideas:
Last year, Target had gloves that had special finger pads that would work with iPhones. I think they were about $3/pair.
Candy Cane Chapstick. They have a little three-pack "ornament" for $5 at Target. (Can you tell I really like Target?)
A box of cute note cards and a nice-ish pen (if you split up a pack of Sharpie pens it would be within the budget)
Love the idea of Chick-fil-A calendars. My friends would also love to get a gallon of CFA sweet tea as their gift. (Can you also tell I really love CFA?)
$5 gift cards to Starbucks, CFA, McDonald's, etc.
Fuzzy socks from Old Navy and a little bottle of lotion
If I were choosing my own favorite things, I'd probably give everyone a container of Clorox wipes because my friends know I'm obsessed with them. Do you have something funny like that you could do that would also be useful?
